Hi! I'm so glad you're here! After following a sweet blogger and enjoying her One Thousand Gifts list so much, I joined the fun by writing one post on my main blog, SomeGirl'sWebsite, and quickly realized I needed somewhere else to share my Thousand Gifts list (or as I call it: Things I've found to be WONDERFUL). So, I created this blog as an outlet for my unnumbered list... and I'm REALLY glad I did! Thanks for the inspiration, Stacey (and Ann)! ♥ Michelle

A Week's Worth of Things I've found to be WONDERFUL... I've fallen behind.

Celebrating a Multitude of Gifts with:

holy experience

Wow! I've gotten WAY behind in posting! So, here's a week's worth of things I've found to be WONDERFUL...
Lovely flowers given to us by our sweet next door neighbor's garden,

a night at the coffee shop blogging with a good friend,

a clean, organized refrigerator (that was last week... don't look now),  ;)

planting a pumpkin patch for October pumpkins (hopefully) and a little one who likes to help,

our growing sunflowers for a sunflower maze,

dinner out on the grill... yum, those ribs were GOOD,

some SWEET smelling soap given as a gift by my sister-in-love,

a new toilet (installed by a professional... and for the record, I didn't choose the pink tile... it came that way), :)

a poolside snack of pretzel chips and hummus,

our local rec center pool,

the swimming skills that my oldest one has developed this year,

somewhere to refresh ourselves in this HOT weather (this was taken at dinnertime 6:13 pm!),

how amazing it is that God made our skin to grow back and our cuts to heal!

our church youth getting motivated to use their talents to care for other kids,

a cool treat on another hot day,

my husband's creative talent, that can have a photo-shoot like this...

and produce pictures like this...

and us getting to eat the props! (with the help of our sweet babysitter, Cali)

my littlest one learning to write his name,

a fun weekend at a hotel hanging out in the pool,

and the smile on this little guys face when he "swims!"

Thanks for stopping by! I'd LOVE to get to know you over at my main blog, SomeGirl'sWebsite, where we encourage each other to live and love intentionally; to put into practice 1 John 3:18 "... let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

iFellowship

Hi! Welcome to Things I've found to be WONDERFUL (my creative outlet, photo blog and 1000 Gifts List)! It's GREAT to have you here! I'd LOVE to meet you over at SomeGirl'sWebsite... I have turned off comments here because I tend to obsess over them and only needed one blog to obsess with! ;) But I'd LOVE to get to know you over there! And I'm REALLY glad you're here! ♥ Michelle

Road Trips and Finding the Hidden Beauty

Taking an unplanned road trip with my husband and littlest one while my oldest was camping with Mimi and Poppy,

Going back to my hometown...

to see Grandma and Grandpa...

and hear some great stories at a Story Telling Festival,

Listening to my husband and youngest "play" piano together,

drives down country roads to special places,

A day trip with my husband while our youngest hangs out with Grandma and Grandpa,

Taking a photo challenge to find the hidden beauty on our drive...

when most of what we saw looked like this,

stopping on the side of the road to get some good shots,

finding the beauty here...

Gotta LOVE coming back home... that sign is WONDERFUL to us!

Little country towns and Memorial Day flags,

The horse farms in Texas,

The hay fields and oil pumps of my youth,

Beautiful flowers lining the side of the road,

Even the gas stations can have beauty,

still holding hands after more than 11 years,

finding a great book to help with reading (still wondering about dyslexia),

A well-deserved nap (if only we all could have had one),

signs of home (the pond down the hill from our house),

while it was a GREAT time being gone, it was wonderful being back home!
